Calm But Windy Day

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Early this morning, rain and snow showers moved through the state. The deep SE corner even got to see some rain as this system moved its way through. Casper and Riverton got to see more of those snow showers this morning. Some of the rain and snow showers are even continuing in the northern half of the state this afternoon. For the SE corner, there is a break from the showers and even the heavy cloud coverage. Temperatures are continuing to warm up and those fast Wyoming winds are back blowing across the state.

As we continue through the day, cloud coverage will continue to stay on the lighter end and even clear out for some of the state. The winds will stay faster through the day and will calm during the overnight hours. The SE half of the state will start tomorrow with clear skies, while the NW half starts the day with clouds. The faster winds will make another return tomorrow afternoon, followed by more cloud coverage. Both will clear and calm again overnight and into the day Wednesday.

For the most part temperatures across the state are cooler than they were around this time yesterday. This slight drop in temperatures is expected when are system of rain and snow showers moves through the state. Today’s temperatures are ranging from the upper 20s to the lower 70s. Low temperatures tonight will range from the low teens to the mid-30s. And for tomorrow we’ll see upper 30s to mid 70s, slightly warmer than today.
