Game and Fish Department holds Wyoming Outdoor Expo
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - On May 5-7, the Wyoming Department of Game and Fish will be holding their annual Wyoming Outdoor Expo. The Department expects to see almost 3,000 students attend from 39 schools around Wyoming. The expo has over 70 booths where students can learn about anything from canoeing and hunter safety, to the anatomy of of animals and the diseases they can get.
“One of our focuses at Wyoming Game and Fish Department is to inspire kids, and we feel like hands on activities and getting kids with excitement is really step one for outdoor fun. They’re going to want to experience more of what they learned at expo,” said Sara DiRienzo, Public Information Officer for Game and Fish.
The Game and Fish Department partnered with volunteers from Wyoming State Parks, Visit Casper and other organizations to bring this event to the Ford Wyoming Center. This will be the first time in two years that the expo is held in person due to the Corona Virus.
Sara also said, “It’s for all ages and all types of people, you could be someone who’s new to Wyoming and new to the outdoors and you can come and learn a lot here, or you could be someone who is an experienced outdoors person, hunts, fishes, hikes a lot, and still come and learn something new at expo.”
The event opens each day from 9:00am until 3:00pm and is free and open for the public to attend.
