Four Bison seniors celebrated at Cheyenne South Signing Day
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Four Cheyenne South seniors signed their college sports letters of intent on Wednesday evening. Below is each student-athletes’ name, future college, and quote from after they made their commitments official.
Aubrianna Garcia, Lake Region State College Softball
“I’ve been thinking about college softball...since I was 11 and it’s like..just being able to go to college for softball in general, it feels great. It feels kinda corny, but it’s like a dream come true, you know? "
Darby Downham, Western Colorado University Track & Field
“I knew that I wanted to go somewhere out of state and Western has a lot of the options that I was looking for. It’s in the mountains. It’s got a lot of outdoor activities. The track program, I think in my opinion, is phenomenal.”
Kayla Lesh, Coffeyville Community College Volleyball
“So as soon as I made my visit, and we talked to the coach, he said most of the students who attend the school are student athletes. So, I felt really comfortable that I was going to be attending a school where I feel like I’m in the same shoes as someone else and we can relate to each other”
Alexandra Robert, University of Wyoming Cheer
“They offered me a scholarship to minor in music there and also play within their symphony orchestra and I’m able to cheer there. I made the all-girl team for cheer and I’ve [had a lot of conversations] with Taylor True at the college of business, and U-W truly just has offered me everything I love: business, music, and also cheer.”
