CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Last week, Cheyenne City Council determined which applicant would be awarded the much coveted retail liquor license. Get Bent, LLC was awarded the retail liquor license against several other impressive applicants.

One of the Co-owners, Juan Coronado, said that their proposal stood out because they have been building on their concept by laying roots.

“We are kind of banking on a lot of our experience and previous development here in Cheyenne,” Coronado said, “but it was pretty nerve-wracking to hear the whole process and then to finally hear our name get brought up was a relief as well.”

Micro Pop Up Concepts Co-owner, Seth Stefanik, said their goal to bring the Railspur to life aligns with the city’s goals to revitalize the West Edge District and encourage business growth.

“We have professionals in the industry already,” said Stefanik, “And some numbers and data backed up what we were trying to do, and what our goals were.”

The Railspur will serve as a focal point for city-lead initiatives, connecting to the 15th Street Experience and the Reed Avenue Corridor enhancements.

Offering unique cuisine, live music, a bar and much more, the Railspur aims to stand out in the downtown scene.

“Once they see what we have to offer in here, I think that a lot of people will hear about it, and just like our food truck, a lot of people will frequent it and it will become a hub-spot for downtown,” said Coronado.

Although obtaining the license was a huge win, the Railspur still has a long way to go.

“I think it was a great accomplishment for us to get it, but it is just the very beginning of the process ahead of getting to the deadline of 12/31 to have all of the criteria met for City Council to retain the license,” Stefanik said.

Owners hope the Railspur will be ready for Cheyenne by New Year’s Eve, 2022.
