CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - If you love an early morning run in the warm weather, the 13th annual Spring into Green Run-Walk is set to start on Saturday, June 11th, at 8 a.m.

“So you’re able to enjoy this great amenity when the weather is nice, umm at all times and uh what we do makes it even a better experience. So once again this is our biggest fund-raising event of the year,” said Nancy Olson, Secretary of the Cheyenne Greenway Foundation.

Pre-registration is happening now, and prices for the event increase after Saturday, April 30th.

The 5k jumps from $25 to $30, and the 10k jumps from $35 to $40. Participants are encouraged to sign up early.

The race will happen at Cahill Park, located at Dell Range Blvd. and Friendship Circle.

There will be entertainment, breakfast and t-shirts will be available for an additional $10.

“The Cheyenne Greenway Foundation is basically to encourage people to use the Greenway, to understand what’s out here. The races are in different parts of town every year so that people see a new part of the Greenway,” said Jo Butler, Treasurer of the Cheyenne Greenway Foundation.

This fundraiser through the Greenway Foundation helps pay for amenities along the Greenway, such as benches, artwork and drinking fountains.
