CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Saturday April 30, Infamous MMA will host a special fight night at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Industrial Building. This event is different than most others because it will showcase three different styles of fighting. This includes traditional boxing, kick-boxing, and Mixed Martial Arts.

The night will include 9 matches with four being boxing matches, three kick-boxing bouts, and two MMA fights. 11 of the 18 fighters are local competitors that train out of Casper. Two of the evenings fighters are even former Kelly Walsh wrestlers.

“My background, I did a lot of wrestling. I wrestled for about 13 years growing up so wrestling is definitely my background but I’ve also kind of fell in love with the striking game, but I know my opponent is a pretty skilled kick-boxer so I’ll feel him out and maybe try and go to the ground a little bit,” said MMA fighter Alex Ferguson.

The skill levels of fighters are expected to vary as well throughout the night, with one of the co-main events hosting a kick-boxing championship but some of the earlier rounds will see a handful of fighters who only have one or two career bouts.

Traditional boxer turned kick-boxer, Aria Pitman, who has a record of 1-0 said, “I’ve been training for the past 2 years, but I’m excited, I’ve been working hard with my trainers and been busy. I think that my enthusiasm will probably get me there. I’m just excited to get in and I’ve been working really hard.” She also made sure to thank the two gyms where she trains which are Champion gym in Montana, and Casper MMA gym.

Doors will open to the event at 6:30 on Saturday and fights will start at 7:30. Tickets will be available at the door but can also be aquired at The Gaslight or Sonic Rainbow.
