Child Development Center looks forward to 22 Art A La Carte
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Casper Child Development Center serves an average of 600 children a year, over 400 of those are children with disabilities. Since 2000, The CDC has hosted an annual Art A La Carte event to help fundraise for the variety of services it provides to the community.
The 2022 Art A La Carte theme is based on a quote from Trolls World Tour.
“‘Real harmony takes lot of voices,’ different voices, and that’s kind of what the Child Development Center is all about. We serve kids with disabilities and without disabilities, and it takes all of us to make this world go round, especially children being at the heart of it,” said CDC Executive Director Alisha Rone.
The CDC offers services for children from birth through age 21. The center hosts classes for children through age five, after that, outpatient services are available to help children be successful in school and life.
Every child at the CDC has helped to create artwork that will be sold during the Art A La Carte event. The event will also feature a raffle package that includes a youth dirtbike, an adult dirt bike, and a University of Wyoming wrapped golf cart.
The Child Development Center says over the years, the event has grown from 50 people to over 500. They are thankful for the community support and look forward to giving back by bringing Casper together.
“Being able to have community events, and get everybody back together and supporting a great cause is so much fun and so awesome, and I think anything we can do as a community to bring each other together is great,” said Rone.
The 22 annual Art A La Carte will be held at the Ford Wyoming Center on Saturday, April 30 starting at 6 p.m. For additional information about the Child Development Center visit their website. To purchase tickets or a table at the event, click here.
