CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Casper Police and Fire departments both announced on Facebook the promotions of multiple first responders. Seven police officers and two fire fighters moved up within their ranks.

Casper Fire-EMS has a new Captain, Jennifer Henderson. She has worked with the fire department for 19 years. As a Captain, Henderson will lead crews on emergency scenes, training, and activities in the station.

Kristian Bisiar has become an engineer for the department after eight years of service. He is now assigned as a fire apparatus operator responsible for safe driving and operation on emergency scenes and other activities.

“This definitely is a good thing for our community to maintain our current staffing levels, and maintain current persons in the above responsibilities of both Captain and Engineer and making sure that we create that movement and make sure that those positions are filled is critical to us,” said Casper Fire-EMS Engineer Dane Anderson.

These promotions leave entry-level firefighting positions open within the department. At this time, the department does not have an entrance testing opportunity planned, but they will announce testing availability on their website when dates are decided.

The Casper Police Department recognized the promotions of three sergeants, two lieutenants, and a captain. One promotion for CPD involved a new position for the department, Deputy Chief of Police.

CPD hosted a promotional ceremony where family, friends, and members of the Department gathered to celebrate the new Department leadership. Chief McPheeters re-issued the officers’ oath of office, reaffirming their dedication to protect and serve Casper.

“We are very proud of the direction of the Casper Police Department it’s in good hands a lot of the individuals who were promoted have been here for a very long time they’re from Casper they care very deeply about the community and really have roots and intention on wanting to make Casper the safe place that we know and love,” said Casper Police Department PIO Rebekah Ladd.

The police department is also hiring, for more information visit the CPD website.
