Warmer for the Week
25 April 2022
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - That last cold front that pushed its way through our region it’s now moving out to the eastern side of the United States stretching all the way from Texas and trying to reach Maine at this point. Today, clear skies and warm temperatures were back as we only saw a few isolated showers in the southeast today, but those have dissipated for the evening and we will be left with clear skies for the night. FutureCast models are showing relatively nice evening with partly cloudy skies and tomorrow morning with a little bit more cloud cover coming in from the west. Any chances of precipitation are going to remain in that northwestern corner in the mountainous regions. Even going into Wednesday, it looks like we’re going to see an increase in cloud cover but not a whole lot in terms of precipitation chances really until the late evening hours.
Wind gusts are expected to remain calm over the next few days and really only picking up during the late evening hours tomorrow getting up to about 30 to 35 mph. It stays calm once again until we go into late afternoon on Wednesday. Early models are showing very strong wind gusts towards the weekend and lasting into next week, but it is too early to confirm those models at this time.
Overnight tonight, expect temperatures to range anywhere from those low 30s to upper 20s right around the freezing point. Tomorrow, you can really tell that warming trend is back with a lot more of those upper 60s and even some lower 70s in the southeast. The extended forecast is showing the cloud cover is going remain in our region before it turns into rain by the leader parts of this week. Overall, expect relatively warm temperatures with lots of mid to upper 60s and even some 70s throughout the region as well.
