CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Monday April 25, the Natrona County Board of Trustees held their second meeting of April. During the public comment portion the board was addressed by the NCHS, CY middle school, and Poison Spider Middle School FFA clubs. These clubs came to update the district on the success that they have seen recently in state competitions.

The NCHS club had recently won 3 state titles including livestock evaluation and conduct of chapter meetings. The School will be heading to Nationals that are held in Indianapolis, Indiana to represent Wyoming, and compete for the national title in their divisions.

Board of trustee members recognized and thanked all those students who showed up and spoke on behalf of the FFA chapters in Natrona County. Board members also made sure to recognize the Academic Awards Banquet that had been held the day prior to the meeting.

”I was also at the academic awards banquet last night we recognized the top 10 percent of our students. It’s one of the highlights of the year. You know they do a bio on all of these students and it’s really just amazing to see what kids in our district are doing,” said board Treasurer Dave Applegate.
