Kelly Walsh students sign scholarship intent letters for UW music program
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Monday April 25, three Kelly Walsh Seniors signed scholarship intent letters for the University of Wyoming’s Music and Choir program. These students included Chloe Stone and Nathanael Connell who received scholarships to the choir program, and Meade Stubson who got his scholarship for the Jazz program.
In order to be granted these scholarships students had to audition for them. This included preparing a song for the judges, being assessed on their sight reading skills, and a skill building assessment which determined their level of musicianship. For the voice and choir department only about 20 scholarships were issued.
“The program there is so amazing, I planned on playing there regardless so just getting a scholarship there is just kind of a cherry on top,” said scholarship recipient Meade Stubson.
