CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Through the first six innings, Powers Field was host to an excellent pitcher’s duel. UW Club scored a run in the top of the first and held the lead for much of the game. The Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers finally tied the game on a Dominic Lopez hit in the 6th after former Sixer and now-UW Club Pitcher Max Pedroza tossed more than five scoreless innings.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, however, the Cheyenne bats came alive and the UW pitchers following Pedroza struggled to find the strike zone.
The Sixers batted around and scored ten runs in the frame to make it 11-1, which was the final score.
