CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - In the 51st minute, Tayler Miller brought Cheyenne East Girls Soccer within one. A short free-kick was placed perfectly and the Lady T-Birds now trailed 2-1.

But that would be as close as it would get, as Cheyenne Central tacked on two more goals in the second half. Ava Taylor scored in the 61st minute and Nolle Parker scored in the 64th en route to the Lady Indians’ 4-1 win over East.

With the win, Central brought home the rivalry traveling trophy home once again, and the Tribe moved to 2-5-1 on the season.

In the Central-East boys game, goals were at a premium. The Indians and T-Birds were both scoreless at the end of the first half and Central got on the board first with a Sam Shumway goal in the 52nd minute.

The celebration was short-lived, however, as East got the equalizer two minutes later. Edwin Lopez directed a free-kick into the box and Brenden Bohlmann headed it into the net to tie the game.

The match went into overtime but there was no winner. East Goalkeeper Connor Fisbeck saved 13 shots and Central Goalkeeper Jackson Cook saved five in the 1-1 result. Since the Indians won the second meeting between these teams last season, the trophy stays at Central.
