Casper College’s Rashaun Agee and Gus Wright sign to continue their basketball journeys
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Casper College’s Rashaun Agee and Gus Wright have made plans to continue their basketball journeys.
Agee came to the Thunderbirds after initially starting his collegiate basketball journey at New Mexico State, and he’ll be heading back to the Division I level. The 6′7 forward signed with Bowling Green.
“I grew understanding people and being more of a like open-minded person throughout the year instead of close-minded and trying to only do my way,” said Agee about how he grew as a player and a person during his time in the Oil City.
The Chicago native averaged 20.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game for the T-Birds this season.
The other signee was Gus Wright, who came to Casper after a stint at CSU-Pueblo. He signed with Dickinson State at the NAIA level in the North Star Athletic Association Conference.
Wright said Casper College was a great place to jump from in his basketball career. “Casper [College] gave me a chance to come back and actually get on the court and like be a part of something where I could actually contribute to the team, and I felt like it kinda gave me some wind in my sails.”
Wright was a two-time all-state selection in high school for Sheridan.
Congratulations to Wright and Agee as well as their families.
