Big Weather Changes
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Conditions from yesterday definitely rolled into the day today. Today is another great weather day across the state. Skies are remaining mostly clear to partly cloudy and very sunny. Temperatures today are also continuing to be warm. It is best to enjoy these conditions while we can because major changes are heading our way.
The rest of today will be filled with clear skies, sun, and those fast Wyoming winds. There may be a few light clouds that move into the SE corner later this afternoon or evening. Overnight, clouds will remain light and the fast winds will be calming back down. Friday will start off relatively calm for our weather. Light clouds and calm winds are expected to start the day.
Throughout the day Friday, major changes will be heading our way. Cloud coverage will be increasing throughout the day and into the afternoon. Late afternoon, the central and eastern half of the state will begin to see scattered rain showers. There is a marginal risk of severity along the NE corner, so gusty winds and heavy rain is expected. Rain showers will continue in the eastern half of Wyoming throughout the evening. Overnight Friday and into Saturday, rain showers will turn to snow showers. Those snow showers will continue into Saturday afternoon.
Temperatures today are warm again. High temperature are ranging from the mid 40s to the upper 70s. Low temperatures tonight will range from the upper 20s to the upper 40s. And tomorrow’s high temperatures will range from the low 40s to the upper 80s. Saturday’s snowy system brings a drop to our temperatures to start off the weekend.
