CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - For the first time ever, the American Legion Post 6 hosted a Cheyenne Sixers Signing Day. Three seniors were honored in front of friends, family, and teammates.

Two Sixers are going the JUCO route and the other is going to a four-year NAIA school. Below is the name of each Sixer, their future college, and a quote after they signed.

Zack Costopoulos, Howard College

“It’s kinda nerve-wracking when you don’t know where you’re gonna go. But it feels good to be signed and committed and now I’m just getting ready for this next weekend.”

Julian Romero, University of Jamestown

“I mean it feels good, that was just one thing that I really wanted to do was just to go commit as soon as I can so I can the whole season.”

Dominic Lopez, Luna Community College

“It’s not like ‘oh like I stuck out so these guys don’t want me no more’. Like I have a college I’m going to. I obviously still gotta prove myself, I know that. But it’s just a relief. I get to go out and have fun and play baseball for this summer with my boys.”
