CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After the cold front move through last night and we saw lots of showers and cloud cover, today ended up being very nice with temperatures being just slightly below seasonable levels. Enjoy it while you can because another cold front is expected to push through late on Saturday into early Sunday. Starting off tomorrow, skies will be mostly clear with temperatures getting up into the 60s for much of the state. As the cold front moves through from the west, clouds and precipitation chances will increase going into the late afternoon and early evening hours. The frontal system itself is expected to be very similar to the one we got last night. It’ll bring more rain and cloud cover into the region, but not drop temperatures off all that much.

Any noticeable differences will be some strong wind gusts going into late Saturday and Sunday. These gusts are expected to be really strong for the northern half of the state getting up to 45 or even 50 mph as the front pushes through. This is likely to cause a few delays on major interstates and highways, but nothing too out of the ordinary. The one thing we are keeping our eye on is another cold front moving through early next week. This is expected to drop temperatures a good 20 to 30 degrees and bring some strong wind gusts along with it. Overall, just expect to have a roller coaster of temperatures and precipitation chances for the next week.

Overnight tonight, skies will remain clear with no chances of precipitation. Low temperatures tonight are expected to get below the freezing point, but remain right at seasonable levels in the upper 20s and low 30s. Tomorrow will start out nice with temperatures increasing into the mid to upper 60s for much of the state before cloud cover begins building up in the afternoon hours. Precipitation chances still remain low, but it can’t hurt to bring that umbrella just in case. Another warm-up is in the forecast as we make our way into Monday before another frontal system drops off temperatures once again going into Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
