Thankful Thursday returns with Friday Food Bag Foundation
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A party with a purpose returns. Thankful Thursday kicks off March 3rd in Cheyenne.
Each week non-profits have the opportunity to raise money for their organization. The first organization on the list is Friday Food Bag Foundation. Vice President of the Friday Food Bag Foundation Board, Sarah Compton says the brown bag lunches are sent home with kids who may not otherwise eat on the weekends. The organization provides bags to 1,100 kids in Laramie County who have food insecurity each week.
The doors for Thankful Thursday open at 4 pm. Giveaway drawings start at 5 pm. A live auction starts at 6 pm. The event takes place at 3839 East Lincolnway.
If you’re looking for a different way to donate to the organization, there are bag fills on Tuesday at 5:30 at the back of Element Church off of Carlson.
