CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Laramie County Community College is hosting a free day of careers and programs exploration for all high school juniors and seniors.

The event will be held on Wednesday, February 16th, from 8 a.m. To 1 p.m.

" Come out and visit us and see what we’ve got to offer. Meet some of our world-class faculty and some of the new facilities we have and get to meet people that could really set your future apart from others around you and get you started on the right foot,” said Amanda Fiske, director of resources for the boys and girls club foot,” said Amanda Fiske, Director of Resources for the Boys and Girls Club.

Several Pathways programs will have hands-on activities to give students a chance to experience the career field they are interested in.

Stem programs include engineering science, biology, biomedical science, computer science, and physical science to help students get into stem fields.

Interested students can choose from eight different pathways so that students can explore multiple fields of study at once.

Students will also have a chance to win a scholarship to l-triple-c by participating.

“We’re just interested in students that have an interest in stem. And really all the pathways, we have 8 different pathways. All the pathways are the same they want to get those students interested in those particular fields and then let them explore a little bit within that pathway and then get them on a track. As they get through that first semester and beyond, “said Fiske

Registration is open until February 11th.
