LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Laramie Girls Basketball Head Coach Terrance Reese has spent decades of his life in Albany County. Reese is a former Wyoming Football player and was the Rock River Girls Basketball Head Coach from 2013-2018.

Coach Reese applied to take over the LHS Girls Basketball job when Nick Darling was hired in 2020 but was turned down. But after Darling stepped down after just one season, he applied again and was hired.

Since taking over the Lady Plainsmen, Reese has led the team to their best 13 game start in nine seasons at 8-5 and on Friday, he won his first-ever 4A conference game in his first home 4A conference game in a 68-50 win over Cheyenne Central.

“I tell the girls it’s kind of like a deja vu like I kinda one of those things where I thought this could happen and once it finally did, it’s something that is truly special to me,” said Reese. “I truly am blessed to get to work with the girls that I get to work with on a daily basis.”

Reese said the atmosphere in the match-up against Central gave him chills. One of his team’s mottos is to “bring you guts” and Reese said his team’s goal is to get as high of a seed as possible going into Regionals and to make the state tournament this season.
