CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

It has been an absolutely cold morning today, especially with the wind chill. The skies started off mostly sunny and they have now started transitioning to partly cloudy. The sun is out and shining, which helps to melt away snow on the grounds and roadways.

The rest of the afternoon will look mostly sunny to partly cloudy with a slight breeze. This evening, heavier cloud coverage will begin moving into the SE corner. These heavier clouds will stick around through the overnight hours and into tomorrow. Also tomorrow, morning snow showers will be quickly moving through the state from North to South. Breezy conditions behind this system will help to quickly move most of the snow out of the southern border. There will be a few scattered snow showers and clouds left behind with this system. Partly cloudy skies will continue through the overnight hours Thursday and into the morning Friday. Expect breezy conditions again on Friday, increasing throughout the morning into the afternoon.

Snow showers return tomorrow morning.

Today began a slight warming of temperatures heading towards the weekend. High temperatures across the state are ranging from the 20s to a couple of lower 40s. Low temperatures tonight will have quite a range, seeing negatives to mid-20 degree temperatures. With the next system moving through with snow, temperatures tomorrow are going to be colder than today’s. Tomorrow’s high temperatures remain mostly in the 20s and 30s. Hopefully the sun and slightly warmer temperatures today can help melt some of our leftover snow before the next round moves in.

With this next system moving in, temperatures tomorrow are going to remain slightly colder.
