CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After going 3-0 last weekend at the Taco John’s Invite in Cheyenne, the Kelly Walsh Trojans were looking to stay perfect on the season against Cody in the Oil City on Thursday.

The Trojans came out firing in the first quarter racing out to a 9-0 lead behind three triples, and the sharpshooting continued throughout the evening. Kelly Walsh made nine three-pointers en route to a 66-25 victory.

Tyler Pacheco led the way for the green and white with 19 points, and three of his teammates also finished in double-figure scoring.

The team moved to 10-0 on the season heading into their first conference matchup of the season next Friday at Thunder Basin.

Before the boys’ game, the Lady Trojans also faced off against Cody, but the Fillies had too much horsepower on Thursday. Logann Alvar led the way scoring 17 points, but the Lady Trojans fell 66-52 and 6-4 overall on the season.

They’ll also head to Thunder Basin next Friday for their first conference matchup of the season.
