CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - WYDOT has partnered with Alexa for a new app. The app is called the Traveler Information Skill.

Enabling the app on Alexa-compatible devices pulls information directly from the WYO 511 website and pairs it with your devices.

Developed with Tri-Hydro, an environmental engineering and consulting firm out of Laramie, this convenient tool provides the most current information at your fingertips before you hit the road.

" You can ask Alexa about conditions between Laramie and Cheyenne and it will tell you exactly what’s reported on our 511. It’ll give you that information hands- free, so it’s kind of a convenient tool,” said Mark Horan, Public Information Specialist for WYDOT.

WYDOT says newer models of GMC and Hyundai have also integrated Alexa into some of their models, making accessing the app even easier.
