BURNS, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It was a historic year for some Burns student-athletes and BHS Athletic Director Barry Ward said goals for 2022 include continuing to improve the school’s athletic facilities and for student-athletes to get stronger.

“Somebody shared or I saw or whatever a meme the other day that said ‘All championships go through the weight room’ and I think that that was probably one of the biggest improvements that we saw this year, was off-season workouts, and you can still see how that’s paying off for our kids and commitment to the weight room, that’s definitely a big goal that we have,” said Ward.

Below are highlights from 2021:

Lincoln Siebert: 3A 285 Wrestling State Champion. First Burns-Pine Bluffs wrestling state champion since 2003.
