CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The LCCC Board of Trustees met on January 7 to discuss varying ongoing projects.

With so many different topics of conversation, the Board of Trustees decided to hold the meeting in a less restricting manner.

“This is not our typical board meeting; this is a retreat. It’s really designed so that we have fewer work items and more time,” said Wendy J. Soto, the Chair of the LCCC Board of Trustees.

The focus of the retreat was built around four different topics.

The Children’s Discovery Center (CDC) design is being altered and developed.

The Student Enrollment Plan was analyzed to better understand how they can create more opportunities for students to attend.

The Board underwent a self-evaluation survey to reflect on the changes they’ve helped oversee through their time.

Their Campus Master Plan entered its first reading, and is set for an update.

“Its a working document, so it changes depending on what’s important in the community. It’s a lot of time and energy by a lot of people that goes into that in developing in what our future should look like,” said Soto.

The Facilities and Finance Committee will meet at their regularly scheduled time on January 12.
