CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The worst of the winter is over with as just some scattered snow showers are still trying to stick around, but mostly hanging out in the mountainous regions. Warmer temperatures are back in the forecast and so is that Wyoming wind. Starting with the temperatures, they will warm back up as soon as tomorrow to a more seasonable level with most areas getting above the freezing point. As a result, a lot of the snow that fell will begin melting resulting in slushy road conditions, so please take caution when driving and give yourself some extra time to get to and from work.

On top of that, the winds will be picking up across the state too. Essentially, whatever snow doesn’t melt, will get blown around. This means low visibility and whiteout conditions are possible. As a matter of fact, there were already blizzard warnings around the Elk Mountain region from the blowing snow. The one benefit is that the winds will be blowing in the warmer air now that the front has passed. Just be sure to remain weather aware as the roads will still be troublesome as we make our way into the weekend.

Overnight tonight, the clouds will be sticking around the state with some isolated snow showers still possible. Lows will be on the warmer end of the spectrum and continue to get warmer as we go into the daytime hours. Tomorrow, winds picking up and highs getting up into the 30s and 40 around the state. Clouds should begin clearing as well thanks to those winds. Be sure to check out social media in regards to preliminary and official snow totals as I will update you on there.
