CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - On Jan. 11, Art 321 will host a reception at 5:30 p.m. to kick off the opening of ten new immersive art installations.

“They’re each creating these little mini worlds inside of our art gallery space, we built these temporary walls and temporary spaces. I mean they’re extremely immersive and they’re really just about the whole spectrum of what’s possible in installation art,” said Art 321 Executive Director Tyler Cessor.

Ten artists from around Wyoming have created interactive art installations. As part of the experience, guests will use all five of their senses as they move through the installations.

Some installations will change over time as people come through and engage with them, allowing each visit to be different.

Each artist has worked to create their own unique space. There was no theme for the installations, but some artists have created experiences with similar techniques and topics. Despite the overlap, each installation room will be completely different.

“It just happened. They just happened to have these beautiful little crossovers between the artists,” said Cessor.

The reception on Jan. 11 will include a discussion pannel with the artists and a surprise performance. According to Cessor, the reception may not be child friendly, however, the installations themselves are.

The installations will be at Art 321 from Jan. 11 until Feb. 26. Masks are required at Art 321.
