CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Brooke Lijewski, a Kelly Walsh softball player, signed her letter of intent to continue her career on the diamond at Dawson Community College. At her signing day ceremony, Lijewski said she had been talking to the coaches awhile and “fell in love” with the school after a visit.

“The team chemistry when I went there was just, it didn’t feel forced at all,” said Lijewski.

Dawson Community College is located in Glendive, Montana.

Lijewski hit .585 with 13 home runs and 45 RBIs last season for the Lady Trojans while playing catcher and third base.

“It means the world to me just having this opportunity from Wyoming nonetheless to go and have these opportunities that other people did.”

For her final season with the green and white, Lijewski said she’s looking forward to having fun and letting go.
