Former University of Wyoming quarterback transfers to Utah State
Levi Williams, the Cowboys’ former signal-caller, announced he is committed to Utah State after entering the transfer portal last week.
LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Famous Idaho Potato Bowl MVP Levi Williams announced last week he would be entering the transfer portal, and it didn’t take long for him to choose his next stop.
The former Cowboys quarterback took to Twitter again to reveal that he has committed to Utah State University. Williams will have three years of eligibility remaining and compete for playing time next season with incumbent starter Logan Bonner and Cooper Legas, who broke out in the Aggies’ win at the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl.
During the 2021 season, Williams posted one of his best performances as a Cowboy in Logan. In a 44-17 victory, the Texas native completed 12 of 15 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 22 rushing yards.
The University of Wyoming and Craig Bohl announced last week that they’re searching to bring in a new quarterback via the transfer portal or junior college signing window.
