Wintery Conditions Are Back
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Skies have been full of clouds today. With this cold front moving through the state with snow showers and heavy cloud coverage, the SE corner has definitely seen its fair share in cloud coverage today. As this system is continuing across the state, snow showers are reaching the eastern half of the state this afternoon and rain showers are popping up along the SE border with the Nebraska panhandle.
Very breezy wind speeds will be continuing throughout the afternoon and into the evening. These breezy conditions are going to be the key factor in removing this snowy system out of Wyoming. By early tomorrow morning, skies in the SE corner will be mostly clear. More snow showers will be building up along the western border and in the SW corner. As the SW snow showers continue through the day tomorrow, more partly cloudy conditions will push their way back into the SE corner.
Temperatures took a turn today with the passing of the cold front this afternoon. Monday and Tuesday gave the Cowboy State warm temperatures for this time of the year, but not today. Temperatures are back to being on the cool side. High temperatures today are ranging from the upper teen to the lower 40s. Tonight’s low temperatures across the state will range from 0 degrees in Big Piney to the mid-20s. Tomorrow’s high temperatures will look almost exactly like today’s, ranging from the upper teens to the mid-40s.
