CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Central Wyoming Hospice is asking the community to send in cards with holiday wishes to their residents.

The ‘Cards of Caring’ event began last year and is coming back after an outpouring of support from the community made the holiday season brighter for hospice residents.

“It’s just something that brings smiles to our patients... just the smiles that come across their face and how happy they are thinking there are people in their community who are thinking about them and caring about them,” said Central Wyoming Hospice Community Liasion Susan Burk.

Individuals, families, businesses, and other organizations can send in seasons greetings. Cards can be homemade or store-bought, it’s the thought that counts to the hospice. The Central Wyoming Hospice does ask that notes on the cards focus on sending holiday cheer and season’s greetings.

“Anybody at all, kids or kids at heart can make a card and bring it to us, and then we’ll give it to our patients,” said Burk.

The cards will be delivered to patients in Natrona and Converse Counties throughout the holiday season. The hospice will accept cards until the new year.

Cards can be sent to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions at 319 S. Wilson Casper, WY 82601. They can also be brought to the same address and left in a card drop-box in front of the administration office.
