CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

We are definitely seeing a change in our weather from yesterday. Yesterday morning started with a few clouds in the sky and with breezy conditions. Today, skies were completely filled with clouds and wind speeds were mostly calm across the state. Rain and snow showers began early this afternoon in the SE corner. For Cheyenne, the snow started off with just flurries this afternoon. The radar and satellite shows more snow showers getting ready to fill into the SE corner.

These snow showers will keep building into the SE corner throughout the afternoon, evening, and overnight hours. These snow showers are continuing to push through the SE corner in the NE direction. Overnight is when the heaviest amount of snow will fall and stick. Tomorrow morning, most of the snow will continue pushing NE until breezy wind speeds make a return. These snow showers will then double back and return to the SE corner in scattered snow showers. Winds will push the rest of this snow system out of the SE corner by tomorrow evening. Hopefully some of this snowfall will help with the drought situation that has continued from the summer.

Snow showers will continue through the overnight hours and into tomorrow.

Towards the end of the week, temperatures are falling again. High temperatures today are cooler than yesterday. With the snow coming in, the high temperatures for today occurred early this afternoon. High temperatures are ranging from the 20s to the lower 40s. AS the day today continues, it is only going to get colder. Low temperatures tonight have a wide range. Big Piney is forecast to have a low temperature tonight of 5 degrees and the rest of the state will range from that degree to the lower 20s. Tomorrow is not going to get any warmer than tonight’s low temperatures. High temperatures tomorrow are going to be mostly in the 20s across the state. Over the weekend and into next week, temperatures will get back to the warmer side of our seasonal temperatures.

It is going to be cold tomorrow, 20s and 30s across the state.
