CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Cheyenne East Girls Basketball players Boden Liljedahl and Bradie Schlabs are two prep athletes to watch for in 2021.

Liljedahl is a junior who led East in points per game (14.5) in 2021. The number was good enough to rank fourth in the state for points per game.

“My dad always pushed me to be like the leader on the team and be very vocal and like kind of like a top dog. So that’s kind of what I push myself to be,” said Liljedahl.

Schlabs is a sophomore who averaged the most assists (3.8) and steals (3.7) for the Lady T-Birds last season. She was number three in the state in assists and number four in the state for steals as well.

“Really I just want to be the best player I can be just because really my biggest goal is regionals, state and so I’ve just been working hard just to work on each of the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, [and] defense just to help my team,” said Schlabs.

For their efforts both Liljedahl and Schlabs were All-Staters in 2020-2021.

Cheyenne East opens up the season on Thursday, Dec. 9 against Star Valley in Riverton. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
