CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Downtown Casper Business Association is hosting their eighth annual Chocolate Walk on Dec. 2.

Over 20 local businesses participate in the evening event.

“It’s just a huge heartwarming feeling for us down here,” said DCBA President Calley Hobza.

There are passports shoppers can fill out as they walk around downtown. Passports can be picked up at Screen Cycle in the Market Square Building and Pink Lion Design Co. in the Atrium Plaza.

“You’ll get to go to all these fun businesses and they have different discounts and chocolate items. It gets you into that Christmas mood and brings you in to see what’s happening,” said Hobza.

There are three prize baskets shoppers can enter to win. Entry for the grand prize includes a completed passport and receipts from three businesses along the Chocolate Walk. The grand prize basket is valued at over $1000.

The DCBA is asking shoppers to bring canned food and non-perishable items to donate to Food for Thought. Donation items can be dropped off at any participating businesses. A donation to Food for Thought is also an extra entry for a prize basket.

The Chocolate Walk will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 8p.m.
