PLAY OF THE YEAR: East’s Kaleb Romero pass break up to seal win over Central

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Nearly 400 total likes were cast on Wyoming News Now Play of the Year nominations, and the very first nomination is the winner.

On the final play of the game, Cheyenne Central’s Keagan Bartlett heaved a Hail Mary to the end zone, and Cheyenne East’s Kaleb Romero broke up the play to seal the win. It was East’s sixth consecutive Capital City Bowl victory and the pass break up is the Wyoming News Now High School Football Play of the Year. The play is attached and it received 180 total likes. A Shoshoni State Championship TD pass from Alex Mills to Trey Fike came in second place with 126 total likes.
