Slightly Cooler Day Today
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
This morning started off on a cooler started and a clearer start. Temperatures this morning started about 20 degrees lower than how the day started yesterday. Cloud coverage has been increasing slowly as the day has continued into the afternoon. The radar and satellite has been keeping up with the progression of the cloud coverage, as it moves in from the NW corner.
Skies will continue gaining more cloud coverage into the early evening. The heavy mass of clouds will make its way into the SE corner. These clouds will stick around for a few hours, and then they will continue moving out of the SE corner. As these clouds move in and out, breezy conditions will be continuing. These breezy conditions do not look like they will back down anytime soon. Faster wind speeds can be forecasted into Thursday evening.
Smoke levels are still staying very light to clear. If there are any areas of smoke within the state, it can found in small pockets of light smoke. For the next several days, any light smoke is staying in the western half of the state. Thursday morning, there will be a broader area of the light smoke pushing across the center of Wyoming.
This week, temperatures are going to be above average. Today, temperatures are still above average but closer to where it should be for this time of the year. High temperatures across the state are ranging from the 30s to the lower 60s. Tonight, low temperatures will head back into the mid20s to the mid40s. Tomorrow’s temperatures will get back to being significantly above the seasonal temperature levels. High temperatures tomorrow will be ranging from the 40s to the upper 60s, with some places even seeing lower 70s.
