CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Another hot one around the state today. Granted 60s are not hot by any means, but for this time of year, yes it’s hot. A couple of cities actually either tied or got new record temperatures today. I will be sure to have the full details for that tonight during the 10pm broadcast. Unfortunately, this heat does not seem to be going away for much of this week. Very little in terms of cloud cover across the state today. Just the northern most cities saw mostly cloudy skies and a few isolated showers. Clouds will begin building from the north across the rest of the rest of the state with some of those isolated showers moving through during the overnight hours and early morning.
The wind is the only thing we have now to make temperatures feel a little bit cooler out there. Tomorrow is expected to be breezy, but only really during the late afternoon and evening hours. Winds and their gusts will be on the calmer side until then. Of course, we will still have updates regarding any highway or interstate closures do to isolated areas experiencing strong gusts.
Tonight, temperatures will drop down a little bit more than what we saw last night with much more of the 20s and 30s around the state. Still on the warmer side, but some nice relief after the warm day. Tomorrow, temperatures will stay warm but be more so in the 50s around the big cities. Don’t get used to it as the heat is expected to come back even stronger on Wednesday and Thursday with upper 60s and lower 70s to start off our December. Expect more record breaking temperatures as a result.
