Black Friday Forecast

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Not a bad day to go outside shopping around for deals. We saw significantly warmer temperatures all around the state with lots of 50s and 60s in the big cities. This is well above the seasonable level and getting a bit close to record heat. Hard to believe that we are about a week away from December and still seeing some 60s for the highs. Tomorrow, things will change up a bit as a cold front approaches our region. This one will be on the weaker side so temperatures will be cooling down into the 40s throughout the Cowboy state, but it won’t last long as those 60s look to be back in the forecast for Sunday and Monday. Skies will be clearing up for the central regions of the state while the eastern side can still see more cloud cover. Luckily, there is no chance of precipitation. That’ll be good for any weekend plans, but not so good for our drought situation.
Some more good news for your weekend plans, the Wyoming winds look to be calming down for much of the state, with the exception of the far eastern side. Gusts will remain not much higher than 30 MPH so I do suspect less highway and interstate delays and closures compared to the last few days. This should also help with anyone who is planning on flying tomorrow as takeoff and landing should be smoother with lighter winds.
Tonight, temperatures are cooling off a little more than what we saw last night as most regions in the central and western side will see temperatures below freezing and the eastern side can see those mid 30s. Clouds will be scattered and winds will be calming down. Tomorrow, clouds moving in on the eastern side and winds will be calming down by the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be a little bit cooler with upper 40s and 50s around many of the major cities. It won’t last long as the warm and windy conditions will be back by Sunday and Monday.
