CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After the quick cool down from the cold front, temperature began quickly warming up from the teens overnight into the 40s all around the state. Certainly above average for this time of year, but we should be used to that at this point. Tomorrow, will be even warmer with the southeastern corner seeing the possibility of some 60s in the forecast. With temperatures like these, it is hard to believe that we are nearing December. Mostly clear skies throughout the state provided nice sunshine for your Thanksgiving holiday, but I wouldn’t get used to it. Clouds and the small chance for some isolated showers are moving back into the region tomorrow on top of the warmer temperatures.
That Wyoming wind doesn’t look to be letting up either. Strong wind gusts will be sticking around the eastern and central areas of the state with gusts getting up to 40 or even 50 MPH. I do suspect at least some partial closures on the major interstates and highways as well as some moderate to high travel impacts. Make sure you check any travel advisories that may affect yourself or any family that may be traveling back home tomorrow.
Tonight, temperatures will be variable depending on where your city is. Lows will be ranging everywhere from the 10s to the 40s, so be sure to watch out for any patchy ice. Tomorrow, highs will be much warmer with 50s and 60s in the forecast. Breezy conditions will be sticking around to help make it feel cooler as well as an increase in cloud cover bringing in the shade. A small cold front plans to come through by Saturday cooling us down into the 40s, but then warming right back up going into Sunday and the beginning of next work week.
