The Science Zone open at new location
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Science Zone has opened their doors for the first time in a year and a half at its new location at 222 East Collins Drive.
Steven Schnell, the executive director, said this new location has been in the works for a long time. Staff are excited to debut their new exhibit called It’s a Nano World and see community kids learning. “[We missed] the giggles and the excitement and the curiosity so much,” Schnell said.
Their new location has about double the space for new exhibits. The new exhibit is about “the science of small.” Schnell said there are sorting activities, pollen pinball and a giant red dome that represents a big red blood cell.
It’s a Nano World exhibit is only taking up about half the space they have. “Science is about progress and we decided to open before things were perfect,” Schnell said.
The Science Zone is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The hour they are closed is time used for sanitizing the exhibits.
