Downtown Development Authority receives anonymous donation
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A normal day of going through the mail turned into a joyous one for the Downtown Development Authority. The organization received a 100 thousand dollar donation from an anonymous donor.
The DDA, like many other local businesses and non-profits across Casper, has struggled the last two years fighting the pandemic. Kevin Hawley, the Executive Director of the DDA, says donations declined significantly during that time, and this generous donation will help the non-profit get back to a comfortable spot.
“We’re only as strong as the folks that support us, so I think it’s important as blessed as we are with this large donation, for folks to remember, especially in this holiday and giving season, that you truly are the lifeblood of not only David Street Station, but all the non-profits in this community,” said Hawley.
Hawley says community donations help the DDA host events at David Street Station. Large donations like this one can help with capital needs.
