CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Next month, the Laramie County Library will have a Smithsonian exhibit on display that centers around the evolution of Rural America.

The exhibits full name is “Crossroads: Change In Rural America”.

It focuses on the evolution of states like Wyoming, including the factor that the landscape has played in those changes.

The display features multiple panels going on the first, second, and third floor of the library.

There are also events planned throughout the exhibits stay, including an art show and an opening event for the holidays after the Smithsonian exhibits arrival.

Kasey Mossey, the Communications Coordinator for LC Library, said, “the greatest part about it is, not everyone can get to D.C. to see the Smithsonian, so the Smithsonian is coming to us.”

The Smithsonian exhibit will be in Cheyenne from December 11 to January 23. It’s made stops in other portions of the state, and has or will appear in Green River, Cheyenne, Casper, and other locations.
