Weak Cold Front for the Weekend
19 November 2021
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It’s hard to believe that we are getting into the end of November especially given how warm temperatures have been today and much of the season. At this point, it just takes a number of cold fronts to move through just to reach seasonable conditions. Today, there were warm temperatures, strong gusts, and cloudy skies with scattered rain and snow showers. There is good news though as a weak cold front will be moving through overnight tonight helping to cool us off a little bit, calm down those winds, and move out those clouds. First off, there will scattered snow and rain showers throughout the state tomorrow morning. If you have any early morning activities, I suggest checking the radar or even just packing an umbrella to be on the safe side. By the middle of the day and evening, the clouds and most of the moisture will move out of the state leaving us with nice clear skies.
The winds will be calming down as well once this front passes. Today, gusts were getting up to 40 MPH so your trashcan may have been tipped over nearby as a result. Some light pockets of gusts will pop up, but be short lived. Gusts will help to move out the early morning clouds and moisture so that the evening will be nice, clear and cool.
Tonight, temperatures are dropping back down slightly with 20s and 30s around the state with a few isolated rain and snow showers possible. Tomorrow, a little bit cooler with more so of those 40s around the big cities and 20s and 30s out west. Warmer temperatures will be back starting off next week, at least until the next cold front moves through.
