State Holds Cyber Security Conference
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -On November 17th and 18th of 2021 the state of Wyoming held their annual cyber security conference. The conference was held in Casper at the Casper Community College. county clerks and other state employed workers attended to conference to learn about updated technology and the threats that may come with it.
Wyoming’s Secretary of State Edward Buchanan also attended the event to learn more about the condition of technology in Wyoming and how it will be advancing with the upcoming 2022 elections. The Secretary also spoke earlier in the week at a Casper Rotary Club meeting about how Wyoming’s polling stations have tested at 100% accuracy in recent pre and post election audits. He credits this to the technology that the state has chosen to use for their polling places.
