Cold Tonight, Warmer Tomorrow
17 November 2021
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - That cold front really worked it’s magic as temperatures plummeted last night and didn’t get all that warm during the day. As a result, temperatures were below seasonable levels. A nice change from the very warm season we have been experiencing so far. If you aren’t a fan of these cold temperatures, there is hope because temperatures are expected to gradually rise back up to the 50s by the end of the week going into the weekend. The nice part of the cold front is the fact that are skies are nice and clear. By tomorrow, that’ll change once again as clouds begin coming in from the west. Not a lot of moisture is expected as there is just a slight chance of snow in the western most mountain ranges. The same way we warmed up before the cold front is the same way we are going to warm up again this time.
Strong winds from the west will be coming through, where the warm air is as the front moves off to the east. It won’t be as bad this time around as the winds are expected to be calm relative to the strong gusts we experienced earlier in the week. Because of that, I personally do not expect too many highway or interstate delays or closures.
Tonight, expect another big drop in temperatures as most regions are expecting the teens. Clear skies will be great for stargazing, but some breezy conditions will require you to bundle up. Tomorrow, expect partly cloudy skies and slightly breezy conditions. Temperatures will be warming back up into the 40s and 50s. It’ll continue to get warmer going into the weekend at least until the next cold front moves through.
