CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Hobbs elementary received a nice surprise today, with Mayor Collins and Governor Gordon there to introduce a new feature of the School’s Physical Education class.

The BNSF Railway Foundation donated several bikes to the school, as well as helmets so that they can practice safety while using them. This equipment that will be vital for their new All Kids Bike PE Program.

The Mayor and Governor helped put together a few of these bikes, and stayed to participate in the fun-filled festivities.

Mayor Collins has an extensive history with the two-wheeled vehicles, as he ran a bike store prior to his election.

“Well, I love to ride bicycles. I learned when In was seven and a half, I think I might’ve been in third grade, it took me a long time, but I found a love for riding bicycles,” said Collins.

The program includes a Learn-To-Ride curriculum, alongside the new equipment.
