CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Casper Pride recently received a grant from the Wyoming Community Foundation for resources and social events for the local LGBT community and allies to enjoy.

Mallory Pollock, the Casper Pride Chair, said this money will help them be more visible to the community all year round. “It’s going to be really exciting to have a year-round presence and have more events throughout the year,” Pollock said.

Members are brainstorming resources like legal and health services or fun social events like decorating Christmas cookies. Pollock said having a safe space for LGBT youth is a way to get youth to stay in Wyoming.

Casper Pride is looking forward to meeting new members with ideas to expand this non-profit. “We’re getting to the point where we want more voices and need other’s ideas,” Pollock said.
