CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Warm and windy conditions look to be sticking around the Cowboy state for the next few days until a strong cold front will drop off temperatures by the middle of this week. Until then, those 50s and 60s are common all around the region. Temperatures will continue to warm up reaching those upper 60s and even some lower 70s by tomorrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few cities hit new record high temperatures. Why this is happening is a cold front from earlier last week moved out to the east and leaving the west with lots of warm air. The strong windy conditions and gusts are coming from the west, resulting in these well above seasonable conditions.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies can be seen on the radar, but these clouds are moving across the state fast as the wind is pushing them through. There is the very slight chance of an isolated shower in the northern and central areas, but nothing long lived as the showers will move as quickly as the clouds. FutureCast is showing this will continue to be the case throughout tomorrow, warm and windy.

Tonight, due to the cloud cover and the strong gusts continuing, temperatures remain unseasonably warm with lots of cities in those upper 40s or even lower 50s. Tomorrow, much of the same is expected. Windy conditions, possibly resulting in the highway and interstate closures sticking around. Above average temperatures and partly cloudy skies with most of them moving through quickly. Highs will be ranging everywhere from 50s to 70s depending on where in the state you are. If you aren’t a fan of these warm conditions so late in the season, another cold front, a strong one at that, will be moving through during the middle of the week.
