CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Today, we finally saw the return of those cooler and more seasonable temperatures after the capital city almost hit the record high yesterday. At this point, it seems like we need continuous cold front to move through just so we can get back down to our normal temperature range. We are still keeping our eyes on some scattered rain and snow showers stretching across the state from the southwestern corner to the northeastern corner. As a result, a lot of the state today will be under mostly cloudy skies while the central regions is seeing those isolated showers. These should calm down going into the evening times but some areas can expect a light dusting in terms of snow. Not much of it will accumulate of course as it has been too warm lately. Just be sure to watch out for patchy ice, especially in those higher elevations.

Tomorrow, temperatures will be warming up slightly as the Jetstream goes towards the north. Because of that, the winds will be picking up from the the south and southwest. Central and western Wyoming can see the return of those Wyoming wind gusts. Nothing crazy strong, but enough that some activities may require some extra caution. Before long, the Jetstream will drop down again going into Wednesday and Thursday, bringing temperatures down to below seasonable levels fro Veteran’s Day. Due to the projected highs being in the low 40s and high 30s those days with the lows in the 10s and 20s, scattered snow showers are certainly possible. I will be sure to post the models when they come out regarding snow totals on social media.

Until then, tonight, temperatures will be cooling down to below freezing for much if not the entire state. Clouds will be sticking around and there is the chance for those isolated rain and snow showers for the central regions. Tomorrow, still more cloud cover, but a slight increase in temperatures. Most of the moisture will stay away during the day and come through from the west during the late evening hours. Keep in mind the breezy conditions will come back in the late afternoon for the western and central sides of the state.
