CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - As the holiday season quickly approaches, Natona County Meals on Wheels is preparing to see an increase in need.

Meals on Wheels currently serves over 550 meals a day across Natrona County. With winter factors such as weather, they see more people in need of this resource. Meals on Wheels provides these residents with meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The organization also provides seniors with small gifts and stocking stuffrs around the holidays. It is important to the organization to let seniors know they are appreciated during this time of year.

“Their loved ones may not be able to come to Wyoming for the holidays so it’s important that you have that contact, even if it’s from someone you don’t necessarily know all that well just to have them say hey how are you, Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas,” said Jamie Loveall, the executive director of Natrona County Meals on Wheels.

The organization is currently looking for volunteers.
